Its midnight friday in LA in the wide streets south of downtown. Quiet but for a lone cyclist rolling through like tumbleweed in an industrial desert.
That silence before a storm, the distant rumble of thunder and a crack of lightning flashes. Chrome and headlights swarm like mutant locusts, we're in the middle of burning tyres and a street racing hurricane.
The all too familiar LA sounds of the suburbs POP POP POP rang out and had us calmly and quickly leaving the scene. Searchlights from above and cruisers slowing down to ask directions to the gun smoke indicate its time to race those snaking highways home.
Los Angeles you never fail to deliver on the surreal.
